I absolutely loved reading this. One thing I still laugh (and cry) about is the way NASA equipped Sally with 100 tampons for her brief journey into space. A trip to space is long, but not as long a way to go as the continuing journey of eradicating The Patriarchy and its inherent bias and ignorance from our own planet. Great to connect with you on here, Thalia. :)
You’re right, Nancy! That tampon story really is something isn’t it. It just goes to show us all: we still have a long way to go. Good to have you here, Nancy. 🙏
That was fascinating! It makes sense to me because my Dad was a physician/surgeon and my Mother was an artist, painter and designer. Science meets art. Thank you for that!
Therein lies the problem. I was both people and didn't know which way to go. Ultimately, I embraced my artistic side, which my Dad did not approve of. There is no winning.
Space vikings and tennis dreams. Two of my favourite things
Agreed 🤓

Everything is connected whether it is readily apparent at the moment. She followed her inner compass and she changed history.
She definitely did, Maria.
Kochab was better.
Definitely can be the case, Stirling. 👍

Carolyn- That must’ve been quite the household to grow up in. Did you feel a stronger pull towards one side of the brain than the other growing up?

Carolyn- You must’ve been very creative! How did you finally navigate embracing the creative side?
